Last but not least, we have Hunter. He is the meat dog of the family. He is one of the more gentle and fun loving dogs we know. He possesses a sharp nose, exceptional drive and the willingness to please.
He more than proved his qualities on the Quebec trip a few years ago. Even though that was his first attempt at hunting, he pointed birds left and right. He hunted as hard, if not harder, than all the other dogs we had at camp. This was obvious by his bloodied lips, cuts, scrapes and his drive; going up and down steep inclines, and through low pines and heavy brush, just to find a bird. Hunter is a pleasure to hunt with as well as a great companion in the house.
